1. Load Weight Per Level

   • Example: 3 pallets × 1,000 kg = 3,000 kg per level.
2. Beam Length (Span)
   • The distance between two uprights.
   • Standard spans: 2.7m, 3.0m, 3.6m. Longer spans require stronger beams.
3. Load Type
   • Point loads (e.g., drums) vs. uniformly distributed loads (pallets).
   • Point loads create more stress on localized beam areas.
4. Allowable Deflection
   • Industry standard is L/180 (length ÷ 180).
   • For a 3,600 mm beam: Max deflection = 20 mm.
